28 Weeks!

A 28 Week Update!
How far along: 28 weeks! She is about the size of a large eggplant. It's hard to believe we are now in our third trimester and just 12 weeks (or less) away from meeting our sweet girl.

Sleep: Sleep has been good until last night..last night sucked.

Food Cravings: Food in general. I'm starving all the time. I feel like I have a hard time getting full!

Gender: A sweet baby girl.
Name: Tenley Hope Arnett
Movement: Oh yes, especially for her Daddy. She seems to get up with me in the mornings. I like the idea of having another morning person in the house! The little stinker did give me a scare last week. She didn't move from the time I woke up (4:30 A.M.) until about 8:30 A.M. I finally called my Dr. and drank a Mountain Dew in record time. Apparently she was just being lazy. We had a nice little talk about not scaring her momma anymore!

Symptoms: Heartburn, Braxton Hicks, a little swelling, and just general discomfort. Needless to say, we are REALLY looking forward to November!
Best Pregnancy Moment: I can't tell you how much I cherish the moments that Mark and I lay in bed and feel our daughter move. She always moves for him, and I love that she can recognize her Daddy's voice.
What I Miss: Walking for long periods of time without swelling and hurting. I feel like I tire pretty easily.
What I'm Looking Forward To: Her 4D ultrasound is next week! I can't wait to see her little face. Mark says he pictures her as an infant with my adult head...which I find pretty hilarious, a little scary.

26 Weeks!

A 26 Week Update!
How far along: 26 weeks! Acorrding to "The Bump" app, she is about the size of a head of lettuce. I'm not really sure why but 26 sounds a lot closer to 30 than 25 did and REALLY close to 40. It's hard to believe we are wrapping up our second trimester and our baby girl will be here in just 14 weeks.
Sleep: Sleep is a toss up. Either it is great or I don't sleep at all.
Food Cravings: Since we were at the gulf this weekend, I had my fill of seafood! We even brought some fresh shrimp home to put up in the freezer. A lot of people have their opinions on seafood and pregnancy. Honestly, I think it is fine. Being from south Alabama, I've eaten it all my life so I'm sure my body is used to it. I don't eat anything raw or high in mercury. And fish has a ton of nutrients that are good for the baby too!
Gender: A sweet baby girl.
Name: Tenley Hope Arnett
Movement: Lots! I feel like I'm carrying her very low, and some of those kicks and jabs have become painful. She kicked me hard the other morning and I swear I felt it...you know..down there. I told Mark, "I think this baby is trying to make an escape for it!!" which only freaked him out a little. I do think she is very long, Mark is pretty tall, and I'm willing to bet Tenley will have long legs like her daddy.

Symptoms: The heartburn hasn't eased up in the least. I'm almost used to it! I did have some swelling over the weekend probably due to too much time on my feet and not enough water. I also think I've had some Braxton Hicks contractions? You know, that tightening can't quite breathe feeling? I'm going to talk to my Dr. about that Monday!
Best Pregnancy Moment: We spent the weeked in south Alabama with my family. They threw us the cutest baby shower, and we are so thankful for all they've done for us. Tenley is already beyond loved, and a little spoiled! We really enjoyed just spending time with everyone and catching up.

What I Miss: Nothing really!
What I'm Looking Forward To: Our next appointment is Monday. Our Dr said we could do the 4D ultrasound then, but we are considering waiting until I'm 30-31 weeks. It's still up for discussion. Either way I love going to the Dr. and hearing her heartbeat. Am I crazy for looking foward to those 2 week appointments??

A few pictures from my shower!

A (late) 25 Week Update!

A 25 Week Update!
How far along: 25 weeks, she is about the size of a rutabaga, weighing in at somewhere around 1.5 lbs! I'm up about 15 total pounds on the scales. I'm at the point where people are asking me if there is just one baby...umm yes thank you! When did it become ok for total strangers to tell you that you look "huge" and "Oh my word you still have 4 months to  go..." I just brush these little comments off. If I'm getting bigger that means my little nugget is too. And how amazing is that?
Sleep: Up until last night sleep has been great. I usually sleep lightly until Mark gets home then I pass out for sure. I literally think I got one hour of sleep last night, and even being cuddled up to my hubby didn't help. I'm not sure if it was pregnancy insomnia or insomnia in general. Hopefully I won't see many more of these nights until Tenley gets here.
Food Cravings: Sushi and mexican...my girl loves some queso.
Gender: A sweet baby girl.
Name: Tenley Hope Arnett
Movement: Yep, I've jokingly called her a "ninja" many times this week. She's kicking hard enough that we can see it outside my belly and we've even caught it on video. Side note: the chances of yall seeing my bare belly on here or social media...slim to none! Trust me, you aren't missing anything! But anyways, our girl did good this week. She kicked Mark a lot and even gave my mom and sister some strong moves!
Best Pregnancy Moment: Did I mention our friend's baby was born last Tuesday? Jase is the most adorable baby and I've gotten some newborn snuggles in this week. It makes me very anxious for Tenley to be here, but I know she has some more baking to do!
Mark and my dad have put in two weekends in Tenley's room, painting and rebuilding her closet. I love seeing them work together. They drive each other crazy but they really do love one another!

What I Miss: Walking for longer than 30 minutes without getting worn out.

What I'm Looking Forward To: I have my first shower this Saturday in Baldwin County. We are having it a little early so I'm not traveling that far at 8 or 9 months pregnant. I'm so ready to spend some much needed time with my family from there. Not to mention Mark is coming too and for the for the first time (in what seems like) forever, we will have three whole days together!

As for a "bump pic" here's a no make-up, exhausted, mid 25 week picture. However that goofball does make it kind of cute:)
